When you publish a landing page using Distribute your default domain will look something like this:

You can use your own domain for these pages, so the URL will look more like:

To do so, sign in to your account at app.contellio.com and follow these steps simple steps:

  1. Open the menu in the top left corner of the screen and select "Settings"
  2. On the settings page chose "Domain settings"
  3. Enter your desired domain name in the text field and click "Save custom domain" button

You must use a sub-domain here. Here are few ideas we've seen working in the past for other people:

  • content.yourdomain.com
  • grow.yourdomain.com
  • kb.yourdomain.com
  • resources.yourdomain.com

You can choose whatever you want but it's important to chose one name and stick to it for the sake of consistency.

When you follow the steps above it's only half of the work. Now you have to change DNS records for main domain. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, contact you system administrator or IT staff.

You have to add new CNAME record. Assuming your sub-domain is grow.yourdomain.com you have to add the following record"

grow.yourdomain.com > distribute.contellio.com.

The trailing "." at the end of the distribute.contellio.com. is important.

When you set this up, allow up to 24 hours for changes to take place. Once they do, you should be able to access grow.yourdomain.com/your-landing-page-name and see your content.

That's it. From now everything you do with Distribute will use your custom domain instead of Contellio's.

If you run into any problems with settings this up, we can help you. Contact us at support@contellio.com and we'll take it from there.
